PROLOTHERAPY

Prolotherapy, also called proliferation therapy or regenerative injection therapy, is the injection of a specialized natural solution into joint spaces, weakened ligaments or tendon insertions to relieve pain.

Prolotherapy offers less of a risk than surgery and is an effective, in-office treatment requiring no hospitalization, down time, follow-ups or anesthesia. Surgery may be as effective as Prolotherapy however surgery cannot be undone, involves several potential complications like infections and requires down time for recovery. Prolotherapy is more cost-effective than surgery and usually costs less than surgical deductible insurance charges. Prolotherapy also offers faster results and recovery when compared to surgery.

Prolotherapy provides pain relief for patients suffering from the following:

Arthritis Tendinitis
TMJ Injuries from Accidents or Sports
Neck Pain Back Pain
Foot & Ankle Pain Knee Pain
Hip Pain Shoulder Pain
Elbow Pain Wrist Pain

OTHER TREATMENTS

Perineural Injection Therapy is a specialized procedure which deactivates painful nerve receptors throughout the body.

Non-Surgical Spinal Decompression is a revolutionary technology used primarily to treat disc injuries in the lower back. This procedure uses FDA cleared equipment to apply precise distraction forces to spinal structures, followed by cycles of partial relaxation. Dr. Pollack at the Milwaukee Pain Clinic offers Non-Surgical Spinal Decompression as one of his back pain treatment options. The benefits of lumbar decompression are two-fold. First, the cycles of decompression and partial relaxation allows water, oxygen, and nutrient-rich fluids into the injured discs. These nutrients promote the healing process. Second, spinal decompression therapy has shown the ability to gently separate the vertebrae from each other. This causes a “vacuum effect”, known as negative intra-discal pressure, which may induce the retraction of herniated or bulging discs.

Osteopathic manipulative therapy is a hands-on treatment utilizing various techniques to correct structural imbalances and alleviate pain throughout the body. While OMT is commonly used to relieve muscle and joint pain, it also improves blood flow, opens energy pathways and regulates nervous system function providing an overall health improvement.

Botox injections are an extremely effective pain management treatment that can be administered every three months. Pain is often caused by tightened muscles and  Botox injections work by chemically relaxing those tight muscles.

Botox injections are commonly used to alleviate chronic pain from conditions like:

  • Myofascial pain
  • Headaches
  • Spinal and extremity pain

Regenerative injection therapies include prolotherapy, stem cell and platelet-rich plasma injections.

Stem cells from bone marrow, fat, amniotic fluid, or umbilical cord blood are harvested and injected into veins or compromised tissues.

PRP therapy is an injection procedure using the patient’s own concentrated blood platelets to help the healing process. This form of therapy requires proper processing  and has been used most commonly in sports medicine.

Prolotherapy is the most affordable regenerative treatment option. Also it is natural, safer, as effective and efficient as Stem Cells and PRP.
